Virtually every travel blog website I see, looks to ‘monetise’it in someway to finance the lifestyle and this I applaud but it’s not for me!
I am in the fortunate position of being financially independent having retired and whilst having retired at 55, I am in the enviable position of having a good pension to pay for my planned adventures.
So there is no plan to sell t shirts and all the other menagerie that these sites sell for your consumption. The ethos is to inspire those that followThe Van Traveller to take the same leap of faith and to live the dream. That’s it.
Anything on this page will be free. Utterly, entirely, completely!
Everything in this shop will be given away as a token of my appreciation to their contribution to supporting the site. From comments, feedback and suggestions as I build the sit, to retiring, beginning the journey and as I travel along throughout this vast planet called Earth. Often with Christina, but sometimes alone and occasionally with friends, many of whom have expressed an interest, to journey on so called ‘lads trips’, to coin a phrase.
I am developing a t shirt that will be my ‘Blue Peter Badge’ for my travelling companions, be them online or with me in my Van.
In addition, the bespoke adventure travel guides will similarly be free to a point to those who have the badge of honour. They similarly will need to be ‘earnt’ and even then will not be distributed widely. They may incur a small cost to those allowed access on the understanding they are not passed on
The new logo which will adorn the t shirt frontage etc. and be used on the site and any other documents.

Here’s the first sample I’ve just received in the post. I am really pleased with it and will be ordering some more, in a range of colours once I’ve given a wash to ensure the quality is ok.
